A beautiful guided tour departing from Naples to the excavations of Pompeii and Vesuvius National Park. You will visit the city buried by ash and lapilli during the eruption of Vesuvius in 79' and the National Park, which develops around the Somma-Vesuvius volcanic complex.
A cultural and scenic excursion of great interest and suggestion that will excite you and leave a lasting memory of the experience.
The Pompeii and Vesuvius tour begins at your accommodation in Naples, where a transfer will take you to the first stop on the tour.
The meeting point is scheduled for 09:30 am. You will reach Pompeii and its excavations for an approximately 2-hour tour with a professional guide who will explain the history and major sites of the excavations, such as the Forum, the Baths, the Lupanare, and the Greek Theater.
At the end of the tour there is a great lunch break with Neapolitan pizza tasting and soft drinks. Then follows the tour in the direction of Torre del Greco, from which you will access the Vesuvius National Park up to an altitude of 1000m.
You will be able to reach the summit of the only active volcano in continental Europe, up to the impressive crater at 1200m, from which you can also admire the Gulf of Naples from Cape Miseno to Punta Campanella.
Return to the hotel is scheduled for about 5:15 p.m.
