Snowshoeing in Aosta Valley

Snowshoeing is a walk in the snow characterised by the use of snowshoes. These are special snowshoes attached to the foot only at the front of the boot, leaving the heels free. One also walks with the aid of snow poles to alternate with walking. Snowshoeing, in fact, is characterised by a movement very similar to cross-country skiing and is easy to practise as it does not require any particular physical preparation.

How it works ?

Snowshoeing in the Aosta Valley can take place in the Gran Paradiso Park area, the Matterhorn Valley or the Mont Blanc area.

The experience starts at 9.30 a.m. and ends at 3.30 p.m. The guided snowshoe hike is ideal for enjoying extraordinary panoramas and following in the footsteps of chamois, hares, squirrels and foxes.
