Rafting is a sport that consists of the river descent on a particular dinghy called raft.
It is practiced in rivers and streams where, thanks to the flow of water and the paddle, one navigates overcoming natural obstacles such as stones or rapids that the route presents.
Rafting on the Velino River, in Rome, begins at 10:00 a.m. or 3:00 p.m. at the meeting point indicated on the map.
A tour on the Velino River, the largest tributary of the Nera River and the largest subaffluent of the Tiber River, will allow you to discover the beauty of the city from a new and original angle.
You will reach by suv the embarkation point and after a short briefing you will enter the water. You will go through a calm stretch of water at first, and then the experience will become increasingly adrenaline-pumping. Stops are also planned to take some photos and admire the surrounding scenery.
You will arrive at the Cavallotti Bridge where you will face the most fun stretch on a short rapid and then continue until you enter the city center, where the current slows down and you can relax and let yourself be carried away among the buildings of the old town and the remains of the Roman bridge among ducks and mallards.
Rafting on the River Velino is an ideal activity even for novices approaching this sport for the first time, as the raft is easy to steer. You only need to know how to swim and be in good health. The minimum age for children is 5 years.
