Kayak excursion from Amalfi to Runghetiello Cave on the Amalfi Coast

Kayaking is a sport in which a kayak is used to move across the water through the movement of the paddle. It is distinguished from kayaking by the kayaker's sitting position and the number of paddles on the paddle. For this activity you will board a double kayak that is stable and easy to steer.

How it works ?

The Amalfi Coast Kayak Tour begins at 10:30 am at the meeting point indicated on the map. After meeting the staff and the group with whom you will be doing the activity, a briefing on the main safety measures and behaviors to be observed will follow. Once you have donned your life jackets and adjusted the kayak footrests you are ready to set sail west to Runghetiello Cave.

The route will take you past Amalfi's most beautiful beaches, full of natural arches and characteristic sea caves. Stops are also planned for snorkeling and swimming in the crystal clear waters.

After passing the beaches of Duoglio and Santa Croce, you will pass by "L'arco degli Innamorati," an arch carved into the rock millions of years ago by sea erosion whose shape resembles two elephants in the intent to kiss. Next you will pass in front of the seaside village of Conca dei Marini, skirting Sofia Loren's villa and catching sight of the historic hotel "Il Saraceno" located on La Vite beach.

From here you can enjoy a splendid view of the Santa Rosa Monastery, a former convent that has now become a luxury hotel.

Once you pass the Conca dei Marini coastline you will enter its western basin, where you can admire the villages Furore and Praiano, the Li Galli archipelago and the Island of Capri with its famous Faraglioni rocks.

Continuing your navigation within this basin you will eventually reach the small Runghetiello Cave, a picturesque natural sea cave named after a local fish, frescoed in red and green by the minerals that cover its walls.

You'll slowly make your way back toward the Amalfi coast admiring an equally extraordinary view of the coast's sea.
