Hot Air Balloon Flight in Mondovì near Turin

The hot-air balloon is an aircraft consisting of a balloon, which inflates with gas and hot air, and a wicker basket, which houses the passengers. The balloon is lifted vertically thanks to Archimedes' principle, according to which each body receives an upward thrust equal to the weight of its volume. Hot air, therefore, being less dense than atmospheric air, allows the hot air balloon to fly.

The origins of the hot-air balloon go back a long way, to around 220 AD to be precise, when it was used in China to send military signals.

Flying in a hot-air balloon is an extraordinary experience to be shared as a group or as a couple, combining relaxation with the thrill of flying over spectacular and unique landscapes.

How it works ?

A hot-air balloon flight in Mondovì begins at the meeting point indicated on the map. Mondovì is a pretty town perched on a hill (80 km from Turin) and flying in a hot-air balloon here has a special charm because it is the only place where it is possible, with a bit of luck on clear days, to observe the snow-capped Monviso on one side and the sea as far as Corsica on the other.

After a safety briefing, you will have the opportunity to observe this beautiful corner of Piemontw from a different and original angle.

The balloon flight will last between 40 and 60 minutes. The route is decided by the wind direction, the pilot can only decide on the flight altitude. The hot-air balloon will ascend up to 500 metres, but will also fly for some stretches at low altitude, caressing the treetops.

At the end of the flight there will be a rich aperitif with the tasting of local wines and products, cold meats and cheeses.

After the flight, you will be able to receive the baptism certificate of your first flight signed by the pilot.
