Canyoning is an adventurous water sport that is practised in the mountains and consists of descending torrents that flow through rocky channels without the aid of canoes, kayaks or rafts. One descends, therefore, on foot with ropes that allow one to safely cross particularly exposed spots.

How it works ?

Canyoning in Val Bodengo near Lake Como starts at 09:00 or 13:15 at the point indicated on the map, where you will be given your technical equipment

. After a short briefing, the mountain guide will lead you to the canyoning route, which is full of jumps, slides and waterfalls.

Two different routes are available, depending on your level.

- Basic: ideal for familiarising yourself with the characteristic environment and canyoning techniques that will be taught during the activity. Jump max 7 metres - Slide 6 metres - Waterfall max 9 metres.

- Intermediate: a more technical route, ideal for those with at least some previous experience. Jump max 7 metres - Slide 15 metres - Waterfall max 18 metres.

To go up to Val Bodengo it is necessary to purchase a pass for each vehicle (car, motorbike, minibus) which costs 6 euro per day (or 9 euro for 2 days). You can buy it in Gordona at the Bar Caffè San Martino (near the church) or online at this site https://www.valbodengo.shop/

Who is the activity for

Canyoning in Val Bodengo is an activity of easy/medium difficulty depending on the route chosen. However, it is necessary to have a good aquatic ability and basic physical preparation. You will be accompanied along the entire route by a mountain guide. Children aged 10 and over can also participate with their parents on the basic route.
