Boat Tours and Snorkelling in the Underwater Archaeological Park of Baia, Naples

Snorkeling is an activity that is practiced by swimming on the surface using a mask and snorkel to observe the seabed. The tour takes place in the Archaeological Park Baia, a marine protected area located on the coast of the metropolitan city of Naples north of the Bay of Naples. Also referred to as "the sunken Pompeii" because of its Roman city-like structure, the Archaeological Park is rich in history and culture, and it is possible to admire the many ruins from the Roman and medieval periods.

How it works ?

Departure is at 9:30 a.m., or 12:00 p.m. at the meeting point indicated on the map, where you will meet the staff, your instructor and fellow adventurers.

The Archaeological Marine Park of Baia offers 8 dive sites, and you can choose to take one excursion or two.

You will be able to admire the surface of the ruins of ancient Baia, submerged in just a few metres of water: from the famous Nymphaeum of Emperor Claudius with the reconstruction of his statues to the magnificent mosaics of Villa a Protiro or Villa Pisoni.

You will be accompanied by an authorised guide and, depending on the site, also by an underwater guide who will show you the details of the ruins.

• One excursion: has a duration of about 3 hours. The actual time of the water excursion is about 40-45 minutes.
• Two excursions: has a duration of about 4 hours. The actual time of each water excursion is about 40-45 minutes.
