Boat tour and snorkeling with marine biologist in Sorrento

Snorkeling is an activity that is practiced by swimming on the surface using a mask and snorkel to observe the seabed. For this activity you will be accompanied by a marine biologist who will explain and tell you the secrets of the land, the sea and the living things that live there.

How it works ?

The boat and snorkeling tour begins at 8:30 a.m. (duration 4h) and at 3 p.m. (duration 2,5 h) from Sorrento, where you will meet the staff, your instructor, and fellow adventurers. After a briefing you will board the boat and, depending on the weather and water conditions, the staff will decide the best place for two snorkeling dives.

You will, then, be able to reach the Bay of Ieranto where there are so many animal species, such as turtles, tuna, dolphins and many others. You will be able to snorkel among the caves that are a few meters deep and admire the fish and shellfish.

You will be able to visit Cala di Mitigliano, which offers a fantastic view of Capri and admire underwater the posidonia meadows, one of the marine environments to be protected, rich in starfish, urchins and seahorses. You can also pass by Isca, a true naturalistic oasis located in an underwater cave inhabited by seaweed, actinias and porifera and numerous species of fish such as mullet, sea bass, gilthead and bream.

Or, finally, Li Galli, the three islets known for the legend of the Sirens, who bewitched Ulysses with their song and which, even today, represent a place to be discovered and which always arouses so much curiosity.

• One excursion: starts at 3:00 p.m. a duration of about 2 1/2 hours. The actual time of the water excursion is about 40-45 minutes.
